Abstract:
The possibility to study some properties of individual parts of artificial Earth satellite surfaces from results of ground-based observations is considered. Using the results of colorimetry, polarimetry and the determined orientation of individual parts of the surface of a satellite allows one, in the 85 % of the cases, to model complicated shapes of the space vehicle under investigation. We propose some ways to solve such problems on the basis of observational data analysis.
Keywords: colorimetry, ground-based observations, polarimetry
