Abstract:
We analysed necessary conditions and carried out corresponding calculations for the performance of experiments on receiving laser communication signals from the geostationary satellite ARTEMIS. We show that experiments of this sort can be performed with the use of a 0.7-metre ordinary telescope. Our results concerning the design and investigation of a receiving system with silicon avalanche photodiode are presented.
