Abstract:
We briefly describe the history of the development of decameter radio astronomy in Ukraine, primarily UTR-2 radio telescopes and URAN systems. We present the main scientific results obtained with the use of these astronomical instruments and outline the role and influence of Academicians S.Ya. Braude and B.E. Paton on the formation of this research field in Ukraine and in the world.
