Abstract: We substantiate the application of Kolmogorov’s spatial interpolation method for the optimization of global satellite observational data for the environment and resource monitoring as well as for climate and ecological change control. As the initial data the global distribution of the atmospheric CO2 concentration obtained with the ENVISAT-1/SCIAMACHY sensor are used.
