Abstract:
We consider some results of multitemporal MODIS data processing to evaluate the winter grain crop areas within the Kyiv and Mykolaiv oblasts, Ukraine. The remotely identified winter grain crop areas differ from the statistical data within the individual administrative districts. This deviation is varied over a wide range, and yet it is about 10 % as a whole. It is found that the NDVI value during November 2007 and its sum for the autumn vegetation period in 2007 are reliably distinct for different states of winter grain crops within the Mykolayiv oblast.
Keywords: deviation, monitoring crops, multitemporal data
