Abstract: As a result of our investigation of thermal selfradiation of the «through» optical fiber installed into heat-insulation material, we obtained the calibrated dependence for the sensor of radiant thermal flow. A technology is developed for manufacturing ceramic tip equipped with optical fiber sensors. It is established that the tip impact strength increases essentially when quartz ceramics is reinforced with quartz optical fibers. The ablation depth and radiant thermal flow at ablating surface are determined with the help of the sensors.
