Noise parameters of the «Sich-1» SLR system

Abstract: We present the results of the study of noise parameters in the radar data from the «Sich-1» satellite. It is shown that the noise in the SLR system causes an error of about 10-20 % when calculating wind velocities. Noise wave structures with a frequency of 0.58 Hz are clearly visible in the radar images. The noise spectra for different operation modes were obtained.
