Механизм генерации и характеристики распространения структур ультранизкочастотных ионосферных электромагнитных волн планетарного масштаба

Приведены результаты теоретического исследования генерации и распространения электромагнитных УНЧ-волн планетарного масштаба (1> 1000 км) в диссипативной ионосфере. Установлено, что они генерируются неоднородностями (широтными вариациями) геомагнитного поля в ионосфере и вращением Земли. Волны распространяются вдоль параллелей в обоих направлениях. В Е-области быстрые волны имеют фазовые скорости 2–20 км/с и частоты 0.1 -100 МГц; медленные волны распространяются со скоростями локальных ветров и имеют частоты 1 –100 мкГц. В F-области быстрые волны имеют фазовые скорости от десятков до нескольких сотен километров в секунду и частоты 10-0.001 Гц. Медленная мода образуется динамо электрического поля; она является обобщением обычных волн Россби в ионосфере, которая вращается, и обусловлена эффектом Холла в Е-слое. Быстрые возмущения – это новые моды, которые ассоциируются с осцилляциями ионосферных электронов, вмерзшие в геомагнитное поле, и связанные с возникновением крупномасштабного внутреннего вихревого электрического поля в ионосфере. Крупномасштабные волны затухают слабо. Теоретические характеристики согласуются с наблюдаемыми характеристиками крупномасштабных УНЧ-осцилляций и магнитоионосферних волновых возмущений. Установлено, что благодаря силе Кориолиса и электромагнитной силе генерация медленных планетарных электромагнитных волн на определенной широте в ионосфере может вызвать изменение направлений локальных ветров и изменение направления общей ионосферной циркуляции. Рассмотрены еще один тип волн, названных медленными магнитогидродинамическими волнами, на которые не влияет неоднородность сил Кориолиса и Ампера. Эти волны возникают как смесь медленных альвеновских пертурбаций и пертурбаций типа Уистлера и порождают геомагнитное поле порядка 10–100 нТл и более. Установлено, что УНЧ-волны при взаимодействии с локальными зональными ветрами могут локализоваться в виде нелинейных одиночных вихрей, перемещаемых вдоль кругов широты как в западном, так и в восточном направлении со скоростью, отличной от фазовой скорости соответствующих линейных волн. Вихри затухают медленно и имеют долгий срок существования. Они обусловливают геомагнитные пульсации, на порядок больше, чем линейные волны. Вихревые структуры переносят захваченные частицы окружающей среды, а также энергию и теплоту, и поэтому могут быть элементами сильной макротурбуленции ионосферы.
