It is shown that further development of world nuclear power engineering can result in impermissible radioactive contamination of the Earth’s biosphere. One of the ways for solution of that problem can be injection of radioactive waste (RAW) into space. We present some results of estimation of RAW masses which can be injected into space with the use of existing Zenit-3SLBF Integrated Launch Vehicle and perspective Heavy Class Launch Vehicle. The solution of the problem under consideration is connected with preparation of international documents making it possible for a state or for a group of states to perform launches of launch vehicles with RAW onboard.
