A method is proposed for the analysis of stochastic semi-Markov systems. The method allows the reduction of the dimension of mathematical models of analyzed systems, with accuracy an sufficient for the problems of technical system design being retained The method is convenient from the standpoint, of formalization of model construction and subsequent automatization of calculations.
