Abstract:
The paper presents a method for calculating the spatial resolution of infrared systems used for Earth observations. The method is based on the «slit» method for the experimental measurement of spatial resolution. The formulas for calculating the angular resolution take into account the parameters of the objective, scanning system and detector. An example is given of the spatial resolution calculations.
