Abstract: We discuss the main theoretical ideas Yuriy Kondratyuk (real name Oleksandr Ignatovych Shargei) (June 21, 1897, Poltava - February 1942), a famous founder of the astronautics. Among them we describe his well-known Lunar Orbit Rendezvous concept, which was used for the "Apollo" missions, as well as his other engineering design works in field of energetics. His biography is given as the appendix to this article. |
