Abstract:

The ExoMars program provides that the Trace Gas Orbiter (TGO) shall be launched to Mars. The main task is a comprehensive study of the Martian atmosphere and of the vertical distribution of trace gases and methane, in the search for organic molecules (C2H2, C2H6, etc.), the search for possible sources and sinks, as well as in the measurement of isotope ratios and their variations. To solve this problem, the echelle mid-IR spectrometer MIR was designed. MIR operates in the mode of solar eclipses in the range of 2.2—4.4 μ with a resolution of up to 50000. The optical layout and technical implementation of the instrument are described
