Abstract: We consider an algorithm for calculating electromagnetic fields created by a transient electrical dipole near an ideally conducting sphere or near a spherical segment. In the solution of this problem, an integral equation with unknown current density on the sphere surface is used. This equation is solved in the time domain by the method of moments. This technique can be applied in modeling fields of spark discharges near spherical conducting objects
