Варіації повного електронного вмісту в іоносфері, викликані вибухом вулкану Тонга 15 січня 2022 року

Про здатність потужних вибухових вулканів впливати на стан іоносфери стало відомо принаймні ще у 1980-і рр.Новий сплеск інтересу до вивчення ефектів у системі Земля — атмосфера — іоносфера — магнітосфера спостерігався після вибуху вулкану Хунга — Тонга — Хунга — Хаапай (коротко Тонга) 15 січня 2022 р. Цей вулкан по праву можна віднести до унікальних.Іоносферним ефектам вулкану Тонга присвячена низка робіт.
      Із використанням часових варіацій повного електронного вмісту (ПЕВ) встановлено, що вибухів вулкану було п’ять. Найсильнішими із них були другий і третій вибухи, причому другий був найбільш інтенсивним. Досліджено локальну та глобальну реакції іоносфери на вибух вулкану Тонга. Для цього використовувалися сигнали Глобальної навігаційної супутникової системи та вимірювання на борту супутника Swarm. Біля місця вибуху вулкану збурення ПЕВ сягало 5…10 TECU. Крім локального ефекту, спостерігалися рухомі іоносферні збурення, викликані генерацією та поширенням акустико-гравітаційних хвиль зі швидкістю від 180 до 1050 м/с. Особливе місце займала хвиля Лемба, що рухалась зі швидкістю 315 м/с та поширювалася на глобальні відстані. В нічний час виявлено екваторіальні плазмові «міхури», які спостерігалися в Азійсько-Океанічному регіоні.При цьому на висотах 400…500 км концентрація електронів N зменшилася на 2…3 порядки. Розмір цих утворень за довготою перевищував ~ 10 Мм, а їхня тривалість складала не менше 4…5 годин.
      Мета роботи — подальший аналіз аперіодичних і квазіперіодичних збурень в іоносфері, викликаних вибухом вулкану Тонга 15 січня 2022 р., у широкому діапазоні відстаней (від ~ 0.1 до ~ 5 Мм) від джерела збурень.Для виявлення реакції іоносфери на вибух вулкану Тонга аналізувалися реєстрації сигналів Глобальної навігаційної супутникової системи.У результаті аналізу часових варіацій ПЕВ у контрольні дні та у день вибуху вулкану встановлено основні закономірності у генерації збурень в іоносфері та визначено кількісні характеристики збурень. Виявлено чотири групи збурень, що мали різний час запізнювання по відношенню до моменту вибуху вулкану. Важливо, що час запізнювання збурень збільшувався зі збільшенням відстані від вулкану до місця реєстрації. Швидкість збурення у першій групі була близька до 1000 м/с, воно мало N-подібний профіль. Це збурення було згенероване вибуховою хвилею, швидкість якої залежала від надлишку тиску та апріорі перевищувала швидкість звуку. Швидкість збурень у другій групі варіювала у межах 336…500 м/с, що властиво швидкості атмосферно-гравітаційних хвиль. Швидкість збурень у третій групі знаходилася у межах 260…318 м/с. Таку швидкість має хвиля Лемба. У четвертій групі швидкість збурень складала 190…220 м/с. Ця швидкість характерна для цунамі, яке було викликане безпосередньо вибухом вулкану.Період квазіперіодичних збурень змінювався від ~ 10 до 20 хв, а їхня амплітуда — від 0.5 до 1TECU.
       Доведено, що спостережувана іоносферна «діра» була згенерована саме вибухом вулкану. При цьому модулі абсолютної та відносної величин збурень мали тенденцію до спадання за збільшення відстані від епіцентру вибуху (від ~ 10 до 2TECU та від 37 до 7% відповідно). Час запізнювання появи «діри» та її тривалість, навпаки, збільшувалися зі збільшенням відстані від вулкану до місця реєстрації (від 35 до 100 хв і від ~ 30…40 до 120…150 хв відповідно). Запропоновано механізм генерації іоносферної «діри». В його основі лежать як електричні, так і не електричні процеси (тріщинуватості, тертя частинок, конденсація водяних парів, коагуляція крапель води, прилипання електронів, гравітаційна сегрегація тощо). У результаті порушення глобального електричного кола, появи стороннього електричного струму, збільшення на порядки напруженості атмосферного та іоносферного електричного полів, опускання іоносферної плазми на менші висоти, де більш активний процес рекомбінації електронів, згенерована іоносферна «діра».
         Встановлено основні кількісні характеристики збурень. Їхні флуктуації пояснюються географічним положенням станцій, положенням підіоносферних точок по відношенню до екваторіальної іонізаційної аномалії, часом доби, рухом вечірнього сонячного термінатору тощо.
